There are other things i should be typing up but... meh sod it I don't want to :P.

Hi there folks it is I, I still live. Week 3 of the job is well under way. So far its great I feel less OMG what the hell am I doing and am getting better at selling and talking the talk. Still loads to learn.
Making wise I have been making chains, sawing the jumps rings and soldering them together and I'm loving it.
I've designed earings for a nice lady and a ring for a cute couple and am working on some one off pieces.

Other news in my life, the worlds most beat up KA clocked over a few weeks back

I've been so busy.

I've got though the summer at work pulling so many hours i felt drained and ready to jack he internets in all together.

In july I graduated my BA hon in 3d design ceramics with a 2:1, a comfortable 2:1. Graduation ceremony was crazy you have to fall in line and go where they point you so i felt like just a cog. I have smart pictures and my mum cried.

My birthday was in early august and i turned 25. This years been tough on me mentally, I missed my dad so much at graduation and he was ill this time of year so in his honer I got my tattoo of the bowl cancer ribbon on his birthday at the end of august.

Photobucket
didn't hurt... really people it was nothing.

End of August my mum came home telling me of a job she'd seen in nottingham, right up my street she said. Full time in a jewelery store and making pieces too. Okay so at first I thought she meant threading beads and rather basic stuff, but a job is a job so i rustled up an arty cv and emailed them as i was a long way off a day off work to see them. I followed it up with a visit on my next day off. Wow cute store and stunning jewelery proper stuff in silver and gold with set stones. I asked questions and was told he was going to organize interviews on Friday and would call me.

5:30pm he called, I thought i was out of luck XD but nope interview at 1030 on the tuesday.

My interview went well, again asked many questions. Found out that 2 workers had just left and that they want new blood and new ideas, I PIMPED MA SKILLS. nice to meet you and we'll let you know on thursday.

4pm finally got the call I HAS JOB.

i start tomorrow.

Paid above minimum wage, holidays, bank holidays off, training in silversmithing and a warm store to work in! I feel like its a dream but nope I will be making use of my art degree, who have thought it.

Hello I'm still alive XD.

Things have been crazy busy and this is my 1st day off with no plans made. Where to start? Things have changed so much lately and I've been stressed, also ended up being a lurker proper, I've been keeping upp on reading my flist but just can't get in to commenting... bad Ote.

UNIVERSITY

So yeah I've finished my 3 years in Ceramic design and get my results a week today. It feels like only yesterday i was the scared and lost 1st year who desperatly wanted to quit and hide. I've changed so much since then, a seasoned 3rd year who can waffle and under stand pot waffle. I'm not nervous about my results for my final pieces but can't wait to know how i did on my dissertaion. I'd love a 2.1.

that flower was my first tattoo.

On thursday i then went to london with my mum.
WE got in to kings cross for 1040 and went to covent garden to try and get an item my step dad had left ing
the hotel there. On the way to the Hotel we past the National theater and got tickets to warhorse as they still has some cheap seat available.

We then went to piccadilly to have lunch in Kulu Kulu on Brewer st, they do very nice sushi, it was my treat and we ate well. After lunch we went to the Japan centre to get dessert, MELON BREAD. I got pocky and other treats there as well as plain melon bread and a green tea melon bread. The green tea one had red bean paste in it, LOVE. Next time i go i want to have the curry bread and maybe custard bread. They had lots of great looking food there too for lunchs, sushi packs and fresh cooked bits.

From there we went to Kiwi fruits the new zealand store, I picked up many snack of my child hood, cookies and stuff. We then wondered about and stumbled across le masion du chocolat and we got sucked in by the pretty window displays and spied Macarons. Oh yes the food bloggers obsession, the pretty biscuit seen in lolita pretties. OMG they are really really nice. I may one day have a go at making them myself. I certainly want to try them again as half a one is not enough.

we then went to euston to check in to our room and dump bags.

We then went back to Covent garden and browsed the market and shops. We had a lot of time to kill before the 7.30 show. We found cyber candy and i got even more sweets (cinnamon flavored mostly like big red chewing gum and jelly bellies) and then went to a bar for a while.... st george madness.

War Horse is AMAZING, go see it if you get the opportunity. It made me laugh and cry, and the puppets are so stunning.

http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/warhorse

Friday, up early and to the station to dump out bas in left luggage then to the V&A. The plan was to see hats and the ceramics collection. Hats was stunning and worth seeing, as for the ceramics... closed and reopens in autum. Gutted.

After that we went to Borough Market for Lunch. Foodie heaven! I was holding out for an ostrich burger and had researched in advanced and knew what butchers sold this hom nom nom treat. Well worth it but my good there was so much there i wanted to try. WE did have scollops because they were just a bit tempting. Then the cakes OMG i had a killer brownie and a Lamington (new zealand cake of godness) shared a rather rich bitter chocolate and raspberry slice with mother and then had no end of samples.

After that we decided to got to Selfridges in which we tasted tobacco flavored chocolate which started off as a nice taste then had a nasty after taste.

Then I've been busy with work and the mad little thing that is the puppy XD.
Back at uni and i have so much to do T-T so i will be off line more than normal for 6 weeks. Last 6 weeks OMG

Hooray I have new, none baggy clothes, in a size 12 once again so maybe the labels are not lieing to me so much. Finally reached 11 stone somethings so I'm 13 lb's from my goal and WOOO the Wii fit said my bmi was n the normal range this morning XD. Of course the scale function of the Wii fit fluxs more than anything you know so tomorrow it will probably say I've gained 5 lb's and tell me to think on why that could be.

My tattoo was started yesterday and I sat for 3 hours. I nearly fainted part way in when my blood sugar dropped but soon recovered and she only stopped when my arm was swollen and doing any more would be counter productive. I'm booked in on the 22nd to get it finished.

The pink flower in the middle was my first tattoo, it will be recoloured to fit the new design.

This is from the 13th when Nottingham had the Light night. I have to say it was a little disappointing, but most street events are after the elephant in London and the spider in Liverpool. But the town did look really nice lit up.

That's it really. I'm feeling better after that nasty cold, everyone else has it now...

I'm so very happy right now and I just have to say that my step dad is awesome. He went down to London today in relation to his work and took time out to dash to the japan centre and buy goodies all for me. He got 3 melon bread/pans as he knows just how much I loved them in Japan and has been made to sample my home baked attempts over my christmas break (been obsessed with cooking lately). But what kinda rocked for me was all the other stuff he got, I mean he got loads of pocky types and then WOW bento stuffs. Squee he gots me good bento stuff. 3 cute boxes, chopsticks, dividers, animal picks and sparkly picks. I need to have more bento box friendly lunches now :3

Tomorrow is Light Night in Nottingham so we're off to see that so i will take my camera and try to takes some images of the events.

Oh i got a 2.1 for my teapots and cups. wooo I hope i can keep it up and that the dissertation doesn't let the side down.

Snow yey how pretty but your timing sucks.

I'm so gutted, there is no way I'm driving to loughborough from nottingham, M1 is a no go apparently and my mum is still stuck traveling to work so she says hell no don't go too.

Only the diss hand in is today and while i can post them I was so excited to physically hand it in. To KNOW it was in and done. Now to post it is just anticlimatic. I'm in tears over this stupidly but you know I just really wanted to get it there my self.

EDIT: well thats it, my diss is in the post. I feel hollow, it's done i should be over the moon but limbo makes it suck

Okay so this is it. I have to hand in this semesters work on Monday, thankfully i finished it all on Thursday ^-^.
The biggie, the 7500-9000 word dissertation, well its in on the 5th and my word count is 8600 ish, i still need to dot i's and cross t's, add my images in and format, and all that jazz. Want to have that finished on the Tuesday night, bound on wed, hand in Thurs then PUB.
I have worked so god damn hard on this and i really did not want to fall in to using the dyslexic deadline (have this over my head till march not a chance). I know the other dyslexics are using it but I really can't be bothered to draw it out.

In a mo I'm off to warrington for a free weekend away as my employee of the year prize, it's going to be fun as it's a night of madness. I'm just pleased that everything is going well so i can relax at this.

oh and here is a sample of my work all finish.

Really proud of my family

A while a go I posted this photo of me, my mum and my brother in New Zealand back in 2002.
Photobucket
I think that was our heaviest.
My brother got fit pretty quick with karate and other fitness training as he is after getting in to the RAF as a Pilot. He has fitness level needed but just need to up his eyesight (hopefully he can do that because he's only off by a VERY small percent).
I started losing weight with my jobs, just running about there at 1st (toys r us and American adventure both pretty demanding) but then as my mum became more inspired to do the same it became easier i think. Over the last 2 years ish I've lost nearly 7 stone by exercising more and eating right (on weight watches core plan meals/home cooking).
My mum tried weight watchers with my step dad and I, but kept slipping in the end it was the risk of type 2 diabetes that scared her in to action and she did the lighterlife program (meal replacements and counseling). She has lost 7 stone also and has reached her goal ^-^ and is off lighterlife and eating the same as the rest of us.

So here is the result
Photobucket
Damn my little brother is so much taller than me T-T. What a Difference, I'm so proud of them.
